The Present Costume:

Things you will need:

*Rope

*Ribbons

*Breastplate

*Black Bell Boots (or none)

*Cardboard

*Paint

*Christmas Halter

Step One. Cut four pieces of cardboard. Two long sides (for the horses’ side) and two short ones (for the chest and rump).

Step Two. Paint the pieces of cardboard; decorate it in your own style. Wait for the paint to dry!

Step Three. Cut holes in the cardboard and string rope through the side pieces. Then wrap them under the belly.

Step Four. Get a breastplate, or piece, then cut holes through them. Make a loose loop around the neck, attaching the rope to the cardboard to stabilize it. Then with the hole on the rump piece, string a rope through, and loosely tie it to the neck as well. This forms the body. Make sure the ropes are loose, but tight enough so they won’t drag. Decorate the halter too!

This is a safe and ideal costume; feel free to add ribbons and your own touches to change it up a bit!

The Reindeer Costume!

Things you will need:

*Reindeer horns

*A red or brown halter.

*Black Bell Boots (or none)

*Ribbons

*Please note this costume works best with white/gray/brown horses.

Step One. Place the reindeer horns on your horse.

Step Two. Put a Christmas coloured halter on the horse.

Step Three. Braid ribbons in the tail, mane, and forelock.

Step Four. Put on the black bell boots, or get black polish to fancy your horses’ hooves up.

Step Five. For the nose, shape a piece of red felt and cut nose cut breathing holes, make sure they’re a little bigger than your horses actual nostrils!

Add any touches to your horse, like a blanket to make him brown, ECT. Be creative!

The Santa Costume

Things you will need:

*A red Santa hat

*A red halter.

*A big black Santa belt.

*Ribbons.

Step One. Place the Santa hat on top of your horse. If it doesn’t fit, or stay, cut holes in it and put a string around it so it will stay.

Step Two. Put a red halter on your horse, if you don’t have one, try to get a Christmas coloured one.

Step Three. Braid Christmas ribbons through your horses’ mane.

Step Four. Put the belt on.

This costume is very adorable! It works out fine, with little hassle. Add your own style as well!

The Christmas Ornament Costume

Things you will need:

*Ribbons

*Tinsel

*Ornaments

*A Christmas halter

Step One. Put Tinsel and Ribbons throughout your horses’ mane, tail, and forelock. And even try putting them around the body. Make sure your horse doesn’t trip though!

Step Two. Put the halter on.

Step Three. Decorate the halter, and any other things you may have on your horse with ornaments, tinsel, and ribbons.

This costume is easy, and efficient!

*These costumes are designed for Christmas parades. They’re fun and easy to make, most of the things people have already in their homes, except ribbons or a certain coloured halter! Please try to note that these costumes may vary. They may not turn out the best. But for best results try doing it with another person.*
